In the latest competition in the Ski Classics series, Engadin La Diagonela in Pontresina-zuoz, in Switzerland, Team Eksjöhus extended their lead in the series. With an impressive total of 1160 points, the team is now firmly at the top, followed by Team Engcon who have amassed 980 points.
Four riders in the top 10
Team Eksjöhus showed impressive breadth in their team, with four male skaters in the top ten. Thomas Odegaarden made a strong effort and took third place, only 2.5 seconds behind the winner Kasper Stadaas. With placements such as 3rd, 6th, 7th and 8th, Team Eksjöhus showed its strength and potential for future competitions.
Magni Smedås in top shape
On the women's side, it was once again a success for Team Eksjöhus. Magni Smedås proved that she is back in top form by taking the lead in the race on the first climb and keeping it all the way to the finish line. Emilie Fleten from another team managed to keep pace and finished in second place. Kati Roivas from Team Eksjöhus continued to impress and took third place, strengthening her position as third in the overall Ski Classic standings. Sofie Elebro, who is fourth overall, also from Team Eksjöhus, also shows the team's strength in the women's class.
The next event in the Ski Classic series is the historic long-distance race Marcialonga in Italy, which starts on January 28. The participants will face a challenging course of a full 70 kilometers, which is the longest distance so far for this season.
